Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
Alhamdulillah, all praises be to Allah, for giving me the time to post.
As we all know, some irresponsible and inconsiderate islamophobes have recently made a lewd film about our beloved Prophet PBUH which as we all know, including the non-Muslims, are all lies.
The question is: How do we react?
As I said, most people know that this film is nonsensical and utterly preposterous. It is a joke. Nobody believes in its contents as it is illogical and just plain ridiculous.
Firstly, we must look at our intention. Why do we react?
1) To defend our Prophet PBUH and Islam
2) To show the public that Muslims won’t tolerate humiliation and would readily defend their honour
3) To show the public that Muslims aren’t weak
Back to the first question.
As we know this film is ridiculous and nobody is believing it, why would we have to defend Islam and The Prophet pbuh as the person in the video is just ‘said’ by the producers to be Muhammad. Everyone knows that the person in the video isn’t Muhammad. Its a joke upon them.
What should we do?
Let me give you a scenario…
A person is being disturbed by his some other people who are calling him stupid but in reality, he is the smartest student in his whole form and the people disturbing him know it. If he knows this fact, why would he lash out and them and be angry or defend his honour when what they say won’t effect what people think or say about him at all?
From another perspective, lets say you are 6 years old and have a younger sibling. It is human nature for you to keep on irritating/teasing your younger sibling if he cries/complains/get annoyed or angry every time you do so. If your younger sibling ignores you, you will get bored and eventually stop.
A person who stays calm and is patient when is disturbed will attract positive attention while a person who erupts will attract negative attention.
This is because anger is the expected and wanted reaction from the disturb-ers or in reality, the film producers. They want Muslims to riot, hurt and lose themselves in anger so that 1) the Syaithaan inside them will be happy and 2) Islam is defamed and labeled as violent.
If on the other hand, Muslims stay calm and patient, they will attract attraction from the public. The public would be wondering why are Muslims patient, how can they be patient and eventually, what makes them patient.
They will try to find answers out of curiosity and wanting to find the Truth and behold, if Allah Almighty guides them, they will be guided to Islam.
The patient won’t be considered weak,
Hadith – Sahih Al-Bukhari 8.135, Narrated Abu Huraira, r.a.
Allah’s Apostle said, “The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger.”
ie. being patient
So, to sum it all up, Allah Ta’aalaa says:
“And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.(salaaman)“25:63
Narrated by A’isyah RadiyaAllahu Anhaa:
The Jews used to greet the Prophet by saying, “As-Samu ‘Alaika (i.e., death be upon you), so I understood what they said, and I said to them, “As-Samu ‘alaikum wal-la’na (i.e. Death and Allah’s Curse be upon you).” The Prophet said, “Be gentle and calm, O `Aisha, as Allah likes gentleness in all affairs.” I said, “O Allah’s Prophet! Didn’t you hear what they said?” He said, “Didn’t you hear me answering them back by saying, ‘Alaikum (i.e., the same be upon you)?”
Even Rasulullah pbuh didn’t react with anger when he was insulted, and he told A’isyah to be gentle and calm when she defended The Prophet pbuh with harshness.
Thus, in my opinion, the producers of the film are foolish. Don’t waste our precious time arguing with them as it is useless as they themselves know the Truth but are unwilling to accept it as they have allowed the Dunya and Shaithaan to fill their hearts.
Instead, spread Islam by being patient and peaceful and by living Islam, the only True way of life.
One more thing, if one really loves the Prophet pbuh, won’t it be much much more important to follow his sunnah and orders first? It is useless if one shows any reaction in defending our Prophet pbuh if he himself disrespect the Prophet pbuh by not obeying his orders which are actually from Allah.’
All the good here is from Allah, while all the discrepancies are from His weak slave..
Loving Islam always inshaAllah,
